Our story
Aurum Medical Group was founded on a simple observation: the patients who need medical care the most are often the ones least able to travel for it. Homebound seniors across Indiana were waiting weeks for evaluations, missing the visits that keep home health services in place, and losing continuity in their care — not because anyone failed them, but because the system was built around the office, not the patient.
Aurum was built to turn that around. Our clinicians travel to the patient, take the time each visit deserves, and work hand-in-hand with home health agencies so care starts promptly and continues without gaps.
Founder & lead clinician
Meet Lauren Johnson, NP
Lauren Johnson, BSN-FNP, is a Spanish-speaking nurse practitioner and the clinical heart of Aurum Medical Group, with more than six years of diverse experience spanning critical care, primary care, and urgent care. She earned her Bachelor’s in General Health Sciences from Purdue University and her Master’s as a Family Nurse Practitioner from California Baptist University.
That background matters in the home. Critical-care and urgent-care experience means Lauren recognizes when something small is becoming something serious — and acts before it does. Her passion for nursing stems from the fulfillment of making a positive impact on others’ lives, and she counts the trusting relationships she builds with her patients among the greatest privileges of her work.
Patients and families know Lauren for visits that never feel rushed, for explaining things in plain language — in English or Spanish — and for follow-up that actually happens. Her expertise also extends to weight-loss management, IV infusions, and aesthetic medicine, reflecting a whole-person approach to helping every patient feel their best.

Aurum is based in central Indiana and serves families throughout the Indianapolis metro and surrounding counties. This is our home, too.
